I looked very seriously at the MiFi and Verizon. But I couldn't find a $15 a day unlimited plan. The only ones I saw on the website were $15 for 75MB. Perhaps I would have had more options if I went to the Verizon store. The MiFi is very tempting. But I figure this is an experiment first to see how much I use it and what the experience is like. If I decide to change over to Verizon I can easialy sell the data card and recover a good portion of my investment and change carriers. Benefit of being contract free.

I am a VERY occasional user (like maybe 5-10 days a year). I went with a Verizon 2200 MiFi card. $15/day but unlimited data - good for me as I like to download video podcasts. It also allows connecting up to 5 devices. The MiFi was around $200 - it is basically free if you agree to a monthly plan, but I had no interest in that.
