It's the same here. I live on Guam so Netflix takes longer to get here on my side of the world. I had a Blockbuster MoviePass but it was just taking up too much time. On my way home after a long day at the office, I'd drop in to see if title X, Y, or Z was finally returned.

I would rather just grab the title from iTunes rather than have to wait for a title to return to the video store..... Yes, the world of movies and rentals is definitely changing. I haven't been inside a video store or a music store in ages. I'll occasionally buy something from Amazon on blu-ray if it is definitely a keeper of a movie.

I'd definitely change my line of business of I owned a music store or video store.

I can certainly empathize with the logic. For me, I think Netflix is good when you want to catch up on a TV series or if someone suggests some odd movie you've never heard of that you want to rent.

For new stuff, yeah...I realized I pay them for a 3 disc subscription (and, until recently with BR add on). Yet when I wanted to rent something new Netflix had it on hold 'till mid March. Meanwhile the Apple TV had it $3.99/4.99 regular or HD for rental. I could rent a couple movies a month on Apple for what I'm paying Netflix. Furthermore if its a month I really don't rent anything, I'm saving money. It's certainly worth considering.

PS: Just picked you and David up on the MPU podcast. Seven episodes in so far. I'm really enjoying the podcasts as they manage to be crazy informative. I'm a Windows IT guy by trade but became a switcher at home in 2000 and I'm still finding little apps and tips you two suggest that I hadn't encountered before. Good stuff. :)
